IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR OCTOLINKS SW88 FIRMWARE UPGRADE
Before you proceed, you should check the current firmware version on your Octolinks SW88 Router.
This downloadable version of the REL 1.04 firmware for Syswan Octolinks SW88 Router might not be the correct firmware version for your device as detailed below.
From the GUI go to the Network Info > System Status page and check for the current Firmware Version string.
If the current firmware version string is :
Ver 1.0 Rel 03 Build Date: May 30 2008
you may disregard the rest of the information on this document and proceed with the download of the proposed REL 1.04 firmware and proceed with the firmware upgrade of your router (see the included readme.txt for upgrade instructions).
If your firmware version string is not identical to the string shown above, it means that your device is running an enhanced version of the SW88 firmware (EXT or EXT2 in the version string) or an intermediate build (RC in the version string) given to you by our
support team.
If the above criteria is met, do not proceed with the proposed firmware upgrade.
Please note the current firmware version string as shown on your device GUI Network Info > System Status page and contact our support team for further assistance and to obtain the correct firmware file for your device.
If you are in doubt, please contact technical support.
ATTENTION :
Not following the above procedure for Syswan Octolinks SW88 Router firmware upgrades will automatically void your product warranty.
